Order Processing, Shipping + Returns
When placing your order, please take into consideration that many orders are custom cast and made to order.
Many products can be customized as noted on the product page. The product’s description page will show you how many letters can be accommodated by the product. The font of the product is basic block letters; your piece will be handmade with the sizing that works best with your piece. Because all products are handmade, the text will not be perfect and will not look like machine cutting or stamping; this is the nature of our handcrafted aesthetic.
When we receive your order, we will email you with an estimated delivery date. Your order will not go into production without full advance payment. Given the handmade nature of our products, most orders will be processed in 3-6 weeks from payment of your order. If we have the product you ordered in stock, your order will be processed in 2-5 business days. We will email you when your order ships. Note that we do not ship on Saturdays, Sundays or holidays.
We accept payment by credit card (American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, JCB or Diners Club) or PayPal. We do not accept cash, checks or CODs.
Gus + Al products are shipped by FedEx both domestically and internationally. Shipping charges to your location will be calculated at checkout.
Once an order is shipped, it can take 1-7 business days to arrive (depending on where in the country you are located).
All orders shipped to destinations within New York are subject to sales tax.
For all orders shipping outside of the U.S. the ship-to recipient will be responsible for any taxes or customs duties incurred. Please note we are unable to estimate the total amount of taxes or duties that may be due at time of delivery. For questions regarding customs fees we suggest contacting your local government.
All international orders are considered FINAL SALE once shipped and are therefore ineligible for refund or exchange.
All purchases must be paid for in U.S. dollars at the prices shown on our website.
Once an order is submitted, it begins processing as quickly as possible. Therefore, orders cannot be changed once they are submitted.
If you received your order for a non-custom product and aren’t totally in love with it, you are welcome to return it to us within 30 days of the ship date for a refund less shipping (if applicable), in the form of store credit. However, all custom orders are final sale and no returns of custom pieces will be accepted. All returned merchandise must be unworn, in its original packaging and include the original invoice. We’ll send you an email as soon as your return has been received and processed.
Shipping on all items is non-refundable. All sales are final after 30 days from receipt.
We do not provide pre-paid shipping labels for returns, so you may return any order through a carrier of your choice. We recommend using a trackable/insured shipping method to guarantee successful delivery of your return. You can send items back to us at the address below:
601 West 29th Street
New York City, NY 10001
If you received a non-customized gift purchased from our website, you may return it to us. A gusandal.com credit code will be emailed to you in the amount of the items.
Product Care Instructions
We recommend following these steps to ensure your GUS+AL jewelry lasts a lifetime.
Silver Jewelry will naturally tarnish over time. We recommend removing jewelry when you shower or bathe and particularly when on the beach, in the sea and in chlorinated water. Also remove when doing household chores or using abrasive cleaners.
Avoid applying beauty products, spraying perfume or applying creams directly onto your jewelry. Keep away from extreme temperatures, humidity and sunlight, and avoid wearing your jewelry when using bleach.
To protect your jewelry, we recommend pieces be individually placed in your GUS+AL box or within a soft lined pouch to stop them being scratched or tangled. Ideally store your jewelry in a dark, cool and dry place. Make sure your jewelry is completely dry before storing.
Using a soft, lint free cloth is an effective way to keep silver and 14K yellow gold jewelry looking shiny and lustrous. A silver cleaner can also be used to clean sterling silver pieces. Ideally, store silver pieces in an airtight bag to help reduce tarnishing. Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean metal as they can cause scratching.
Cleaning Precious Gemstones
Since many gemstones are quite delicate, hot water, harsh chemicals and cleaners should be avoided at all times. We advise cleaning your precious stones with a clean, soft, damp cloth after wearing. Use a soft toothbrush to clean gemstones if necessary. Do not use tissue paper or paper towels to clean gemstones as they can cause scratching.
